According to the GSO constitution, the GSEU liaison committee has the responsibility of serving as a communications bridge between the Graduate Student Employees Union and the GSO. The way this has been realized up to now is by attending the GSEU meetings and informing the GSO senate and graduate students about them, inviting GSEU representatives to the GSO senate meetings, using our means to help the GSEU disseminate to the graduate students important information and trying to define issues and campaigns we could pursue together, like the library cuts and the university fees hikes.
For more information or to share ideas, contact the committee members.
For more involved GSEU information and to report grievances, contact the Stony Brook campus GSEU officers:
Union membership cards are now available at the GSO office. All TAs and GAs have to fill those out and send them to the Union, in order to have the right to vote in Union elections and contract negotiations. When you fill it out, please make 2 photocopies. Send one to Victor, Mike or Marisa, or put it in the secretary's mailbox in the GSO office. Keep the other for your records.
