Off Campus Renters Guide (May 2006)
The information compiled in this report is the result of a survey of student opinions regarding their housing and their landlords. Student tenants who took part in the survey reported on their personal experience their landlord and rental space. We offer this report as a tool to aid students in their search for off-campus housing.
Hotel Construction Survey (March 2005)
The survey was aimed to explore campus community's opinions about the details of the proposed on-campus hotel construction.
Faculty-Student Relations Survey (Spring 2005)
This survey explores the several facets of graduate student relations with their departments and their faculty. It aims to identify both the positive aspects and the problem areas of faculty- student relations. The five main areas it addresses are
- Relations with advisors
- Relations with other faculty in the department
- Relations with the thesis committees
- Procedures to file complaints
- Contract and policy violations.
Teaching Experience Survey (2003-2004)
What qualifications do the graduate students need to teach? What sort of training is provided to them? Does the mentoring available to graduate students serve to increase their potential as instructors? Is Stony Brook University realizing their TAs to their fullest potential?
